Library Services
1. Books Lending Service :
Book lending service is known as circulation service. Circulation service is provided through Libsys software of library. Bar coding is used for this service. This kind of voluminous circulation work is handling in a smooth manner by the application of this bar coding system. It helps to retrieve data quickly and efficiently. Bar coding offers a lot of comfort and easy to handle bulk routine tasks efficiently in library.
2. Reading room facility:
The library has a specious reading room for students. The timing of reading room is from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. It helps in promoting group feeling and providing a homely atmosphere for studies.
3. Digital Library:
Digital Library is provided to the students where students can access e-database, e-books and e-journals. They also can search information related to their academic course or to fulfill particular need of knowledge.
4. Reference Service:
Library staff provides reference service to the library users i.e. Faculties as well as students. In this service personal assistance is provided to the library users. This service is to help the user for selecting and using the proper materials of the library.
5. Inter-library Loan Service:
Inter library loan provides the facility to its users with the books or articles from journal which is not available in their institute library. Inter library loan service is provided through its sister libraries of institute i.e. R.C.Patel Institute of Technology, R.C.Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, H.R. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and R.C. Patel Arts, Comm. and Science college.
6. Internet and WIFI Service:
The students are provided with WIFI and Internet facility within Library area. Students can access needed information, videos, articles and research papers using internet or WIFI facility.
7. WEB OPAC & MOPAC (Android Mobile App.):
Library provides students and staff members with WEB OPAC where students can access library collection from anywhere any time. WEB OPAC provides access to any of the information contained in the record for an item in the library. It is very easy to use for library users and save the time of library users as well as library staff.
MOPAC ie Mobile OPAC facility is also provided to the students as well as staff members. Visiting Manangement system is runned through MOPAC ie. Simple check in and check out by scanning QR Code while entering to any section of library.
8. Online E-Journals and Database Access service:
Library provides access to online e-journals i.e. available on DELNET database and NDLI. By login id and password library user can access these databases. Databases store information in electronic records that may be searched, retrieved and organized in countless ways. Access to these databases by library users for needed particular information results in time saving. Database searching also has important advantages such as ability to link data and ability to drive mail, email and social networks.
9. Current Awareness Service:
Current awareness service is a distribution of information which keeps users well informed and up to date in their field of basic interest as well as in related subjects. CAS is provided to the students as well as faculties through recent journals and periodicals. Various journals and periodicals are subscribed for getting recent knowledge or development in subject related field.
10. Plagiarism Checking Service:
Plagiarism Checking service is provided to the staff members as well as student. For this, Turnitin Plagiarism checker software is used. To use this service, library user have to mail the particular respective document to the library and plagiarism report is sent within 24 hours.
