Sports Department

The Sports Department mainly focuses on developing physically fit, mentally resilient and disciplined athletes who excel at higher competitive levels while achieving academic excellence and contributing to a healthy sporting culture in the institution.

Objectives:-

1. To promote the philosophy of “Sports for All” by encouraging maximum participation of students and staff in sports and physical activities.

2. To identify and nurture talented player for higher-level competitions.

3. To improve the physical fitness and mental well-being of students.

4. To provide systematic training, coaching and competitive exposure to help athletes reach higher levels of competition.

5. To develop leadership qualities, confidence, discipline, sportsmanship and life skills through structured sports programs and tournaments.

Key Activities and Initiatives

1. Fun and Fitness Activities for Students and Staff:

Regular physical activities, such as walkathons, trekking, yoga and Zumba, are organized to ensure the physical and mental health of all participants.

2. Intramural Competitions:

Intramural sports competitions are organize to provide students and staff with opportunities to showcase their athletic talents.

3. Pathways to Higher-Level Competitions:

Top performers in intramural competitions are given an opportunity to participate in intercollegiate, inter-group, inter-university and local club competitions.

4. Workshops and Training Sessions:

Various workshops are conducted for both students and staff to enhance their sports skills, including specialized sessions on techniques, strategy, and personal fitness.

5. Seminars on Health and Wellness:

Educational seminars on critical topics such as diet, injury prevention and sports- related health issues are regularly organized to raise awareness and deepen knowledge.

6. Gym and Fitness Facilities:

Gym facilities are available for athletes, with access to trainers and conditioning coaches to support their training.

7. Coaching for Specialized Events:

Professional coaches are available to provide expert training in various sports, helping athletes refine their skills and techniques.
