The Institute MCA and MCA Integrated Department organized the Internal Smart India Hackathon 2025, an event that engaged students in solving real-world problems through innovation and teamwork. A total of 19 teams, each comprising six members, enthusiastically participated. The teams worked on diverse domains such as Healthcare, Agriculture, Smart City, and Education, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the hackathon.
The event was inaugurated by the esteemed jury members Mr. Rohit Borse (Software Development Engineer, Global Payments) MCA (Int.) Alumnus batch 2019-2020 and Mr. Rushikesh Chaudhari (Software Engineer, Cognizant Technology Solutions), alongside respected dignitaries Dr.Vaishali Patil, Dr. Manoj Behere, Dr. Tushar Patel & Dr. Manoj Patel. Honorable Director Madam felicitated the invited jury members, acknowledging their valuable presence and expertise.
During the inauguration, the jury members addressed the students, sharing their industry experiences, motivating them, and emphasizing the importance of such competitions in shaping careers in the IT sector. The Director further inspired the participants with her motivational speech, encouraging them to push boundaries, think creatively, and develop solutions that can create a real-world impact.
The jury panel for the competition included Dr. Manoj Behere (HOD, MCA & MCA Integrated Department) and Dr. Amit Patil (Faculty, IMRD), along with the invited industry experts. The panel evaluated the presentations based on innovation, feasibility, technical soundness, and presentation skills. After a thorough evaluation, each panel member provided valuable feedback and suggestions to the participants, guiding them in improving their ideas and preparing for larger hackathon platforms.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and successfully fostered innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among MCA and MCA Integrated students.
