“Painting Competition” 2021-22

Theme : Mask free - Diwali, Joy of Light

Objectives :

  • Competitions are important to motivate young artists and help them to develop their creative skills by exposing them to the contemporary talent.
  • The lighting of lamps symbolizes the ray of hope for a better world and goodness for mankind.

Events Highlights:- Taking part in drawing and coloring competitions helps the students to develop the right attitude towards a career as an artist. It allows them to challenge themselves and move out of their comfort zones in face of competitions.

Students learn to think of art competitions as more than just about winning and losing, they learn to appreciate the experience and move on to become better and stronger artist. Constant learning and self-motivation are the key to success as an artist and these competitions help to instill these habits in students.

Therefore, to promote this traditional art form amongst our students, an Interhouse painting competition was conducted in institute of management research and development on 21st Oct. 2021 at Seminar Hall, from UG classes 19 students was participated and they had to make a painting based on the theme of “Mask free - Diwali” and “Joy of Light”, in a time duration of 2 hours. Mrs. Nilima Patil and Dr. Priyanka Bhandari judged the painting competition based on presentation, color combination, correctness and theme after that judge finalized 1st, 2nd, 3rd winners.
