Objectives : To collect blood units but also to make students aware about blood and its benefits. It was an effort to motivate students to come forward and donate for this noble cause. First time donors need to be encouraged so that once the initial hesitation/ fear goes away, the donor will look forward to such camps in near future too.
On the account of Hon. Bhupeshbhai Patel Birthday a Blood donation camp was organized by Shirpur Education Society in association with R.C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur & R.C. Patel Educational Trust’s Institute of Management Research and Development, Shirpur NSS Unit in collaboration with Navjevan Blood Bank, Dhule on 25 August 2021 at Pharmacy college campus.
The camp began at 10:30 A.M with a short inaugural function by Chief Guest of the Blood Donation Camp, Hon. Kashiram Vechan Pawara, MLA, Shirpur along with Shri. Rajgopalji C. Bhandari , Chairman of R.C Patel Educational Trust’s, through which more than 101 units of blood was donated by both students and the staff members and others in bringing a ray of hope to contribute to the serious problems of acute shortage of blood. Donation of blood is very critical and crucial for saving lives many patients and those who have met with accidents. It is as such a great service or contribution to the society and people living in it.
